OFFICIAL: Bartra to leave Barcelona for Borussia Dortmund
The centre-back will end a 14 year association with
his boyhood club after the German side triggered his release clause and
agreed a four-year deal with him
The German club revealed on their official website that the centre-back will sign a four-year deal, though some details need to be finalised before the move can be completed.
The 25-year-old joins Dani Alves in exiting Camp Nou, with Javier Mascherano also linked with a move away from Catalonia in recent weeks.
Despite earlier protestations from sporting director Robert Fernandez that he would not be allowed to leave, Barca have revealed that Dortmund agreed to trigger his release clause and he will move to Signal Iduna Park.
